BEST REAL ESTATE USES FOR BLUETOOTH BEACONS

OFFICE PLACEMEMENT
Placed in your real estate office - it can serve as an outbound marketing for your current listings, next open houses and lineup of realtors. This obviously works best when your office location is in an area with lots of foot traffic and your message can show up on people's cellphones
REGISTRATION
Placed at an open house - realtors have successfully highlighted the given home but furthermore used the beacon to point to a simple registration page for open house visitors, a digital guest book if you will.
QUICK LISTING INFO
Realtors place a low energy bluetooth beacon near the front of a listing, and passerby (and drivers by) get notified that a home in the area is in fact for sale... Clicking on the notification gives full details (open house info, price, taxes, agent contact info, etc). This is likely THE most used case for bluetooth beacons as it is directly attributable to a listing (note - there are analytics with most beacon packages -- so after a few listings you'll know if it's working for you)
SMART SIGN
Often sign companies will assist realtors in embedding a bluetooth beacon within a realty sign with a message linking to a webpage with that listing's info and related (similar) listings also available -- with the ability to have an agent contact the customer for more details.  In our case, we would place it at a an alpine nj current listing.
TRADE SHOW/EVENT
In my area there is a huge street fair that is very well attended by the people in my area -- and my bluetooth beacon gets tons of inquiries re: my real estate listings and seller info. Anywhere there is a big gathering of likeminded people near where you sell your listings or often transplant buyers is a good event for bluetooth beacon coverage...
NOTE: Never overdo the beacon technology. It's passive and should remain that way -- I never would recommend "doubling up" or being overly aggressive with the advertising rate (# of times per minute/hour message broadcast). It's a great technology - let's not ruin it.
